Jim Barker
Jim is an experienced manager who has held Chief Executive posts in the NHS and in the independent healthcare sector. For over a decade years Jim has specialised in creative and innovative organisational and management development. He has experience of running consultancies and of working as a faculty member at the King`s Fund, the healthcare development, training and research institution. A self-starter and independent thinker, he has deep understanding of and empathy with the management of Healthcare organisations.

Charlotte Blake
Charlotte is highly experienced in both the legal and accountancy facets of business. She has been involved in corporate acquisitions, buy outs, disposals and been involved with outsourcing decisions and implementation. She has worked in an advisory role to directors in areas such as internal restructuring, legal aspects of contracts, and legal due diligence. Her ability to research and assimilate new information, balance commercial need and legal risk and her good communication skills means that Charlotte can offer considerable insight into potential problem areas.

Nick Blasdale
Nick has worked in the field of human resources, professional training and business development for fifteen years, working for several international corporations. He has worked with major blue chip clients in business development and account management and has been a primary instigator of people development and business growth. He has gained a reputation for initiating and delivering first class training schemes specialising in "self management" development courses covering areas including stress and time management, creativity and accelerated learning. Nick believes in leading and embracing new ideas and best practice and is experienced in the formation and development of alliances.

Helen Cann
Helen has a successful background in unit management with an international company. She developed and delivered training programmes for new managers and recognised the importance of partnership with customers. Her more recent experience has been with 'not for profit' organisations, building teams to accomplish aims at minimum costs.

Stephen Cotterell
Stephen has over 20 years investment industry experience in the UK and Europe. He has worked as an advisor to Financial Asset Management and Investment banking businesses. Stephen has worked as a director of international banks in Europe and London. He is a highly creative problem solver who performs well in challenging and changing environments. A strong believer in collaborative problem solving and partnering, he also works as a coach and mentor for start up businesses through to City institutions.

Ian Crawford
Ian has expertise in project management, change management and implementation. He has experience in both the commercial and public sectors. Ian has strong programme and project management skills together with in-depth knowledge of the process of implementing change and introducing management systems to commercial, defense and government organisations.

Martin Fagan
Martin has over 23 years senior experience and directorships in the IT, Pharmaceutical and Healthcare industry from both supplier and consumer viewpoints. He has also been heavily involved in the development of CRM and its forerunner, ETMS, in the healthcare industry in the UK and internationally, and currently chairs and speaks on the subject of CRM at international conferences. He is also a recognised expert at new methods of marketing and eBusiness, and is a speaker at Management Centres in Europe.

Sally Fagan
Sally specialises in interpersonal skills and is a certified user of personality profiling. Sally’s career started in export sales management with experience in both industrial and consumer products. She now has over 20 years professional experience in culture and language, export sales management and consultancy training. Sally graduated in linguistic & international studies, and is a member of the Institute of Linguists, a fellow of the Institute of Administrative Management, a member of the Institute of Leadership and a Senator of Junior Chamber International.

Diane Hall
Diane is a marketing practitioner, having a significant track record in planning and organising corporate level marketing for international consultants including: event management, award winning publications, newsletter management and production, book editing and authoring, major proposal development and marketing budget planning. She has an international track record in marketing service and manufacturing businesses. Diane is a director of a marketing consultancy business.

David Harrison
David has extensive experience in infrastructure best practice including collaborative forms of contract. He was the director of PFI and major projects for the UK arm of a multi-national engineering group prior to becoming a business advisor. David has a very good track record planning, growing and turning around businesses.


Randolph Jenkins
Randolph's career started in engineering and manufacturing with a strong grounding in operational research and production. For many years he has operated as a business auditor and risk management expert. He is a very pragmatic businessman who can rapidly determine the sustainability of an enterprise or its systems. Before joining ServQ's team Randolph was the head of corporate audit for a major multi-utility group.

Derek May (ServQ Management Group Member)
Derek is an experienced and practical strategist who has significant international marketing and business development experience. As the former Executive Director of a £2 billion UK plc he has extensive working knowledge of the high-tech and engineering-led energy sector, where safety and quality are paramount. He has carried out major reviews of corporate strategy down to the competitiveness of individual business units and product line profitability. He is experienced in acquisition/divestment programmes, investment in organic growth and efficiency improvements and implementation of competency-based approaches to workforce development and remuneration.

Susanne Pinnock
Susanne is a highly experienced advisor in the field of business-to-business customer loyalty and performance measurement. She has led and delivered projects in this field for 6 years including many UK and European blue chip companies. Susanne designs and implements major programmes where she mentors and trains assessment teams, analyses review findings are then facilitates the delivery of action plans for improvement.

Nicholas Redfern
Nick worked for 6 years as a managing director/general manager of medium sized firms in the mechanical engineering sector with a strong record of expanding revenues, reducing operational costs and improving profits and customer service through leadership, organisation and developing employees’ capabilities. He has implemented workforce development programmes to address skills gaps and change to a commercially aware, customer focused, and team oriented culture. He has experience in revised costing, estimating, stock control systems and project management. He has assisted and mentored senior management teams in implementing process change, sales and marketing.

George Weir (ServQ Management Group Member)
George has significant experience in operations management roles within the chemical industry followed by over a decade as a business advisor, researcher and an associate with Manchester Business School. He has specialist knowledge of best practice and financial benchmarking in the SME environment and has authored commercial publications in this area. George has provided business advice in the practical and strategic adoption of ICT for competitive advantage. More recently George has been working on strategic cost modelling in the SME sector.

Barry Williams

Barry has an extensive health management background including setting up health businesses, raising finance and operating PPP programmes. He has worked in the Middle East and evaluated markets in Canada, Scandinavia, Africa, the Middle East and China and undertaken consultancy work in commissioning hospitals in Malaysia.

Duncan Willows
Duncan has wide-ranging experience in change management and organisational restructuring in both public and private sector organisations. He has worked extensively in learning, management and organisational development on strategy implementation as well as tactical projects. He has senior level experience in Human Resources for regulatory bodies, international consultancies, financial services and banking.

Prior to founding the Partnership Continuum, Stephen was a Partner and Senior VP for Six Sigma-Qualtec, where he delivered quality, process improvement and partnership workshops before founding Partnership Continuum Inc.

Phyl Burger
Phyl Burger offers exceptional skills in leadership, organizational change, strategic planning, public speaking and facilitating teams both large and small. She has worked with domestic and international organizations, start-ups and well-established companies, relying on her skills as a communicator to guide them through the process of organizational development. Prior to establishing her own business Phyl was a Corporate Manager of Training, Education and Development for Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. - where she led a team providing quality, innovative and effective training programs for over 40,000 associates. She has also held leadership roles in Organizational Development and Training and Development with companies in Healthcare, Retail, Manufacturing and Sales.

Neal Holtan
Neal is a Board certified internal medicine and preventive medicine physician, an experienced clinician, manager, and leader with 23 years of medical practice experience. He has worked with medical colleagues, large health care organizations, and communities to promote health. His expertise in community medicine and public health includes running a large urban health department, assembling and facilitating teams and networks of health professionals, treating tuberculosis patients, and practicing cross-cultural medicine and international health. He is involved in mentoring other health professionals in career assessment and leadership development. Dr. Holtan is the Director of our Health Care Industry practice.

Thomas Quill
Thomas has extensive experience in a variety of management disciplines including: Project Management, high-performance team development, research design, data collection and analysis and leadership training. He has worked extensively in the telecoms sector in roles such as Director, Program Management and Marketing Operations with Qwest Wireless. He has served in a variety of marketing-related positions, extending his experience in primary market research and implementing customer satisfaction measurement programs. Mr. Quill is the Director of our Project Management practice.

Cindy Browne
Cindy has over 20 years of management experience in the non-profit sector where she developed skills in strategic planning, leadership team building and collaborative workplace development. She has held a series of progressively challenging management positions with Twin Cities Public Television and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. In her consulting practice, Cindy focuses on helping organizations achieve breakthrough results through partnering, change leadership and organizational renewal.

Nancy Cosgriff
Nancy has worked with organizations for over twenty years helping them achieve improved business results through a greater focus on purpose, people and process. She has extensive experience in consulting with senior leadership and facilitating processes which result in the development of leadership competencies and desired organizational culture change. Nancy has worked both as an internal and external consultant and coach. Her management positions include nearly 10 years at Wells Fargo where she served as Vice President of Corporate Learning and Organizational Development and Director of Norwest University. In this capacity she partnered with line management and a staff of 20 to create innovative, results oriented learning, culture change initiatives and teambuilding interventions. As Senior Vice President of a quality improvement-consulting firm and as Director of the Management Institute at North Hennepin Community College she assisted business leaders in creating human development strategies and work environments fostering high performance.

Dean DeGroot
Dean R. DeGroot is a business consultant and licensed psychologist. He has been involved as a change agent for individuals and organizations for over 15 years. Dean has expertise in assessing, creating, and evaluating various aspects of change, providing individuals and organizations with insightful information on "bottom-line impact." Personal improvement, training, partnership development and psychological assessment/testing are areas in which Dean has made a difference. Dean has worked in manufacturing, service, government, healthcare, private, and consulting sectors and experienced various management styles. He has been an outplacement and career development professional for over ten years, with expertise in change management and personal improvement. James H. Krefft

Professor Chimay Anumba
Founding Director of the Centre for Innovative Construction Engineering (CICE) and Professor of Construction Engineering and Informatics at Loughborough University. He is actively involved in several professional bodies and is a member of the governing Council of The Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE). His research interests are in the fields of computer-aided engineering, concurrent engineering, IT, knowledge-based systems, collaborative communications, structural engineering, and project management.

Dr Patricia Carrillo
Senior Lecturer in Construction Management, with a PhD based on Mergers and Acquisitions in the Construction Industry. Patricia has expertise in Knowledge Management, Strategic Management, Mergers and Acquisition, Improving Business Performance, IT in Construction and Construction Project Planning.

Udityasinh Gohil
Udit is a Research Engineer sponsored by ServQ at the CICE in Loughborough. He specialises in Construction Management which includes broad areas such as parternering and alliancing, knowledge management, value management, risk management and concurrent engineering. His current research interest is in setting up a framework for Value Enhanced Collaborative Working (VECW).



Mike Connaughton (ServQ Management Group Member)
Mike is an experienced practitioner in technology and information management. He has worked with top utility businesses and software companies in developing new ways of managing business information and processes. His asset management knowledge, especially in the field of data gathering, management and collation are highly regarded. Mike is our associate director in Manchester. He is also the founder and a director of a business that has developed whole new ways of managing asset based data.



Professor Steven Male
Professor Male holds the Balfour Beatty Chair in Building Engineering and Construction Management at the University of Leeds. He has been researching strategic management, project strategy and ‘value management’ in construction since the 1980s and has produced numerous publications in this area, including co-authoring the first UK texts on value management, strategic management and competitive advantage in construction. He works closely with industry and has acted as lead consultant on over 200 studies for a range of different types of clients. Industrial contracts have been predominantly action-research focused, where research has been applied in an industrial setting to introduce change into teams, projects and firms. This represents a diverse portfolio of experience in strategic and tactical studies. Professor Male is a keynote speaker on value management at international seminars.

Marcus Grönqvist
Marcus is a value management and change consultancy practitioner, conducting regular workshops and studies in: partnering, PPP, supply chain management, process and re-engineering improvement, organisational change, IT systems strategies together with value engineering work on building refurbishments and new build. He delivers value management and risk management processes on projects. This involves investigating client and end-user needs and making their requirements more explicit.
